I'm looking for 32 ddd nursing bras. Do you stock them? All bra manufacturers make their bras differently. Most UK bra manufacturers use the cup sizing A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, H, J. The cup differences tend to be about 15mm or 17mm for each cup size increase. European bra manufacturers tend to use single letters only, i.e. don't use DD. US bra manufacturers tend to use DDD for the UK equivalent E.
So, a 32 ddd bra would be a UK 32E equivalent, or a 32F European bra equivalent.
Some bra manufacturers also use FF, GG, HH, JJ. Sometimes this is a half cup increase (i.e. half of 15mm), and sometimes they use the sizing for a full cup increase. Our bra fitters are well aware of the differences each manufacturer we supply uses, so ask for our help and assistance! We're here to help, and fit with our bras every day on pregnant and breastfeeding women, so we know our stuff. Use our knowledge to help you get the right style and size for you.
Having said this, the size will also depend on the fabric and style of bra. Our bra fitters are experienced in fitting different styles to different shape bodies and breasts, so will be able to help you find a range of different styles to suit you. You may end up with different sizes in different bras - even from the same manufacturer!
If you are looking for maternity bras - size gg, then you need to be looking at H or J cups if the company doesn't do a gg. Some companies don't do the larger cup sizes in maternity bras, but they do in nursing bras. Contact our fitters for bra fitting advice.
I'm after how many nursing bras advice. What do you suggest? We suggest you have 3 nursing bras as a minimum when you initially start breastfeeding your baby. This is one on, one in the wash and one spare in case baby's sick. The third one could be a sleep bra, or nursing tank / pyjama top.
However, if you usually buy 4 or 5 lingerie sets, why would you not buy the same as normal, especially when you're about to embark on something really special? Why should your lingerie when you're pregnant or breast feeding be any different? You may want a selection of lovely sexy nursing bras, as well as some really comfy plain nursing bras for when you're engorged, or sleeping.
The other thing you have to consider is budget - we all have one! Our fitters will help you get the best selection for you within your budget. Our systems also hold your details, and notes of any conversations we may have had with you. So, if you have a partner, family member, or friend that wants to get you something, they can ring us to find out what size you are, what styles you like, and we'll be able to help them buy you something extra for your wardrobe.
Remember that different bra styles will make different clothing look different. So you may also need different styles of bras for different clothing, or coloured clothing that you wear - work and home may be one example. Your uniform may need one style of bra, but you may prefer a lacier, sexier nursing bra for your days off.
Our trained and experienced bra fitters will be able to help you to get a selection of bras that are suitable for your lifestyle and budget. Contact us by emaiinfo@bras4mums.co.ukl or phone, or call into the shop in Lancashire to try some on. Our free exchange policy means you can try on the bras with your different clothing to check you have the right ones for you.
